Mezvinsky, a native of Ames, Iowa, earned his B.A. at the University of Iowa and his M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin. Following post-doctoral studies at Harvard University, Dr. Mezvinsky began his academic career at the University of Michigan. He joined the academic staff at CCSU in 1966.

Mezvinsky, a native of Ames, Iowa, earned his B.A. at the University of Iowa and his M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin. Following post-doctoral studies at Harvard University, Dr. Mezvinsky began his academic career at the University of Michigan. He joined the academic staff at CCSU in 1966. Professor Mezvinsky has coordinated faculty and student exchanges between CCSU and Eastern Mediterranean University in North Cyprus and the Universität der Bundeswehr in Hamburg, Germany. He has lectured extensively to university, college, and high school audiences, as well as governmental, service, religious, and other organizations, and has delivered scholarly papers and lectures at conferences and seminars in the United States, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.
