Welcome to Ira J.
Bilowit's Ongoing Theatre Scene Commentary
This site is being
developed by me (Ira Bilowit) as a source and resource about "people who
make theatre", with comments, interviews, informal reviews, and feature
stories.
It will be
comprised of new material as well as archival material culled from decades
of my interviews and roundtable discussions with "luminaries" from the
theatre world. It will include playwrights (e.g., Tennessee Williams, Eugene
Ionesco, David Mamet, et al), performers (e.g., Ian McKellen, Patrick
Stewart, Estelle Parsons, Jonathan Pryce, Edward Asner, Alfred Drake, Rex
Harrison, et al), composers, directors, designers, and producers --
well-known theatre professionals from every theatre discipline.
While this site is in development, visit
scenebyme-ijb.blogspot.com for current comments and musings about the
theatre scene.
